About the Author

Elsie Vandevere is a penname for a mom and professional's fictional work, crafted by combining part of a username from days of fanfiction past and her great grandmother's favorite husband's last name. 

Elsie is originally from South Carolina, but has lived in many wonderful places she often features in her stories.

She studied English in the US and UK, acquiring her Masters degree. 

Since then, she has done editing,  written professionally for websites, blogs, and magazines, taught English, run a nonprofit, and worked in law. 

She once eloped and now has two kids with her partner of over 10 years. 

Her brother in is a rock band. 

Her goal is to bring books to people that will never be boring and will leave them with some sense of satisfaction- nothing more or less.

When not writing, she's either adopting too many animals, trying to learn new languages, spur of the moment traveling, or raising Scleroderma awareness for people, like her, facing this challenge.
